THE ACORN DOCUMENTARY

The Acorn is a feature length documentary film directed and produced by Sophia Mobley. The film recounts personal stories of former students who attended Oakwood University, the only Historically Black College associated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Students from places as far as Papua New Guinea to attend the $9,400/semester schools that prevents students from eating meat and wearing jewelry on the campus grounds.

THE HEART OF A HUSTLING HIPPIE

Sunshine Joe is a documentary film directed by Sophia Mobley that chronicles the life of Joseph Mallard. Joe is an American Fiber Artist who is a descendant of slaves. He used his experience with rejection to fuel his quest to find his true self. Watch the film here.
