THE ACORN DOCUMENTARY

The Acorn is a feature length documentary film directed and produced by Sophia Mobley. The film recounts personal stories of former students who attended Oakwood University, the only Historically Black College associated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Students from places as far as Papua New Guinea to attend the $9,400/semester schools that prevents students from eating meat and wearing jewelry on the campus grounds.

SUNSHINE JOE DOCUMENTARY

THE HEART OF A HUSTLING HIPPIE

Sunshine Joe is a documentary film directed by Sophia Mobley that chronicles the life of Joseph Mallard. Joe is an American Fiber Artist who is a descendant of slaves. He used his experience with rejection to fuel his quest to find his true self. Watch the film here.

 

CHEERIOS (HEART EDITION)

CONCEPTUAL SOCIAL AD

The concept for this ad was to promote General Mills special Heart Edition Cheerios. The idea was to make it exciting while keeping it short. This conceptual ad was filmed and edited by Sophia Mobley with the intention to be used on social media platforms such as YouTube.

CONCEPTUAL EDITORIAL AND SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

The concept behind this campaign was to create still imagery that could be used for editorial purposes and a short motion video to be used for promotional use on social media platforms such as YouTube. The above imagery was designed, filmed, and edited by Sophia Mobley.

CONCEPTUAL SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

The intent behind this campaign was to create still imagery to be used in social media feeds and a short motion image to be used as an Instagram Reel. The still images was styled, captured, and edited by Sophia Mobley, as well as the motion image.

BOTANICA ROOM SPRAY

CONCEPTUAL TRANSMEDIA CAMPAIGN

The above assets were created with 2 uses in mind. The short product image was intended to be used as an Instagram Reel or FB advertisement. The first still image was created to be used as a feed post on Pinterest or Instagram, and the final still image was designed to be a lifestyle photo of the product which could be used for editorial purposes. Each image was conceptualized, filmed, and edited by Sophia Mobley.

CONCEPTUAL COMMERCIAL AND SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

This concept was developed to be used for commercial use as an Instagram Reel, Facebook Ad, and other commercial and editorial purposes. The product motion image was conceptualized, filmed, and edited by Sophia Mobley as well as the still image. 

AQUATION

CONCEPTUAL COMMERCIAL AND SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

Aquation is a skincare brand that boasts its clinically proven fragrance free formula. The goal with this social media ad was to create a video that would translate as clean and hydrating. The intent behind this ad was to create a video to be used for an Instagram Reel or Facebook Ad. Sophia Mobley filmed, edited, and sound designed this conceptual video.

CONCEPTUAL STOP MOTION

Stop Motion is a fast way to engage audiences. This concept for Cottonelle toilet paper was designed, shot, and edited by Sophia Mobley to illustrate how stop motion can be used on social media for brand awareness purposes.
